HIKING.

Day-hiking is the ultimate recreational activity becoming popular with all ages. The goal is to walk around. Trails are everywhere from easy walks to challenging ones. There are many unique places in the senses that the people in some areas are still untouched by the tourist impression and the modern lifestyle (exception to some minor groups). Hiking in these parts lets you know the environment of these sites.

RNH 01 NAMOBUDDHA - (PANAUTI - DHULIKHEL ) 5 / 6 HOURS.

Namoboudha situated at the hill top of Panauti is very important Buddhist pilgrimage located in Kavre District about 38 km. east of Kathmandu. The stupa and shrines build up in this lovely little hill has significantly enough mark a very ancient holy site where a legendary prince named Mahasttva offered himself to starving Tigress with its several underfed cubs. This legendary episode is depicted in a very nice stone slab and placed right next to a holy stupa. We drive 35 km east of Kathmandu for about one and half hours to a place called Dhapasi through an ancient Newar town, Panuti. We follow the uphill trail to north - east direction from Dhapasi. After crossing a suspension bridge we have an opportunity to experience the harvesting of the crops over these areas. Then we hike steep uphill for about an hour to reach Namoboudha. After an packed lunch continue easy walk to Dhulikhel. Drive back to Kathmandu or overnight at resort in Dhulikhel.

RNH 02 PHULCHOWKI - (GODAWARI - GODAWARI) 6 / 7 HOURS.

Phulchowki (2782m), the highest hill situated in the south of Kathmandu valley, is one of the most beautiful hiking in terms of vegetation. After driving 14 kms south of Kathmandu for about 30 minutes to Godavari ( Royal Botanical Garden ); the starting point, we start hiking gradually uphill all the way through sub - Tropical thick forest for about four hours. The magnificent view from eastern part of Annapurna range to Gaurishanker in the east can be seen from here on a clear day apart from the Breathtaking view of Kathmandu valley. After a packed lunch, we hike down following the same trail to Godavari for about 2 hours and drive back to Kathmandu.


RNH 03 CHAMPA DEVI - (PHARPING - HATTIBAN) 5 / 6 HOURS.

Champadevi,2285 m south - west of Kathmandu, is a pilgrimage site having a Buddhist stupa and a Hindu shrine attracts many pilgrims on full moon day. We drive 16 kms south of Kathmandu for about an hour to a place called Pharping where we start our hiking gradually up for about half an hour along trail toward the north ridge and through pine forested area. From here we continue hiking gradually up following the trail for about another 3 hours to Champadevi. From here one can have the breathtaking glance of central and western Himalayan ranges. After a packed lunch, we hike down to Hattiban for about 2 hours and drive back to Kathmandu.

RNH 04 NAGARJUNA - (BALAJU - BALAJU) 4 / 5 HOURS.

It takes 15 minutes by driving to north-west of Kathmandu and about 2 and half hours up we reach at Nagarjuna hill, which is also called historical Jamacho Peak (6,300 feet) Nagarjun hill a popular pilgrimage site. The trail begins at the entrance of the protected forest (5 km to the northwest of Kathmandu on the way to Kakani from Balaju). Great views of the Kathmandu Valley and a number of Himalayan peaks can be had from here. There is a Buddhist stupa and view tower on the summit.



RNH 05 SHIVAPURI - (BUDHANEELKANTHA - KOPAN) 3 / 4 HOURS.

The climb to the top of Shivapuri hill (altitude 2,732m), which lies directly to the north of Kathandu, takes about three hours. The path is alternating level walks through forests and steep inclines. The summit of Shivapuri is one of the four pilgrimage peaks on the valley rim. The trail begins behind the shrine of Budhanilkantha (9 km). For the return, you can walk along the ridge that descends south to Bouddha where we drive back to Kathandu. This trek offers various activities to keep oneself busy during the stay be it in the form of Nature Treks and Hikes, Ethnic Village Tours, Bird Watching, Photography or just a simple relaxing leisure. This is a fantastic hiking tour from Kathmandu. It offers a rich insight into the lives, history, culture and religion of its inhabitants. Shivapuri hill (2729m) is the highest point of this trekking. From the top of Shivapuri, one can have a panoramic view of the western mountains like Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ganesh Himal Range, Mt. Langtang Range, Mt. Dorjeelakpa Mt. Shisapangma, Mt. Gaurishankar and many more.

RNH 06 BHAKTAPUR - CHANGU NARAYAN

Walking north from Bhaktapur turn left at the road leading to Nagarkot to rach the hill-top shrine of Changu Narayan (4 km, two hours). The walk offers panoramic views of the mountains, terraced fields and the Manohara river. There is also a small village on the eastern side of the temple. You can avoid the same route getting back to Kathmandu by climbing down the northern slope to the road.



RNH 07 PHULCHOKI

Hiking. Phulchoki (altitude 2,762 m) to the southeast of Kathmandu is the highest of the four pilgrimage peaks ringing the valley. The top offers views of the Himalaya to the north and the Terai plains to the south. A Hindu shrine sits amidst a tangle of TV and radio antenna towers. There is an abandoned iron mine about three-fourths of the way up. Its forested slopes are covered with rhododendrons and orchids. The trail (about three hours to the top) begins behind Godavari .



RNH 08 KATHMANDU - KULEKHANI

Hiking. Follow in the footsteps of the old travellers on this historic trade route. This walking trail was the only way form Kathmandu to India until the Tribhuvan Highway was built in 1956. Head south from the police check post at Thankot (10 km to the west of Kathmandui), and climb over the valley rim at Chandragiri Pass (elevation 2,280) to the village of Chitlang and on to Markhu beside the Kulekhani reservoir (Lake Indrasarovar, five-six hours). Return to Kathmandu or walk east to Pharping (four five hours, the trail begins at Kalanki ,18 km near the dam) and then return back.


RNH 09 BALTHALI VILLAGE TREK

Nepal is a land of scenic grandeur and unbeatable scenic allures. One needs not to be a mountaineer to trek in the hills of Nepal where more than half of the total population of the country live. A short trek will reveal picturesque hamlets surrounded by elaborate terraced fields and forested ridges; a longer trek may yield rich contrasts in people and culture from one ecological level to another. Among trekking trails around the valley, Kathmandu Valley Rim Trek is the longest of all. It goes around the valley covering all the important places. It offers a rich insight into the lives, history, culture and religion together with the locale and very traditional agricultural activities of its inhabitants. The valley rim lies around 1050m to 2800 m above sea level.

Day 01: Kathmandu - Sundarijal - Chisapani (2150M) 5HRS
Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal for about 1.5 hours.
Trail climbs up through mixed forest and pass the Mulkharka village to Chisopani danda. In a clear day there are good views of mountain from east to west. There are good view of mountain and Kathmandu Valley. Overnight at local lodge.

Day 02: Chisapani – Nagarkot (2163M) 6HRS
An interesting trail takes us to the hill retreat of Nagarkot, perched on a ridge 32 km east of Kathmandu. It commands sweeping views of the Himalayas. Five of the world's ten highest peaks, Everest, Lhotse, Choyu, Makalu and Manaslu are visible from here. Nagarkot is also a popular spot to watch sunrise and sunset.Overnight at the Resort.

Day 03: Nagarkot – Dhulikhel 6HRS
The trail climbs up to the tower of Nagarkot. From the tower there are excellent views of mountain including view of Mt Everest and Kahmandu valley. Trail descends through rhododendron forest and villages to Dhulikhel. In a clear day there are excellent view of eastern Himalaya. Drive Back to Kathmandu OR
Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha (1982m.) and then to Balthali (1,730m.)
We walk to the Namo Buddha (1982m), situated on hill above Panauti. It takes about three hours to reach from Dhulikhel.. There is an amazing legend related to the Buddha, which is commemorated by an ancient stone slab and a stupa with the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. Later, we walk another three hours and reach the enchanting Balthali village offering excellent mountain views at an altitude of 1,730m. Overnight in Balthali Village Resort.

Day 04: After breakfast, walk downhill to Khopasi for an hour. Our vehicle will be waiting for you and drive back to Kathmandu for about 1.5 hrs with the sightseeing of Panauti OR

Balthali to Lakuri Bhanjyang (2000m.)
Having breakfast at Balthali, we hike to Lakuri Bhanjyang (2000m.). It lies perched atop the pristine hill of Pokhari Thumko (18 km from Kathmandu). This hill offers commanding panoramic views of the snowy mountain peaks, the northern horizon and spectacular views of sunset and sunrise. After dusk, a myriad of shimmering lights for below in the cities of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur glow to reveal yet another delightful feast for the eyes.

Day 05: Lakuri Bhanjyang to Lubhu village (4203ft to 5280ft.)
Today we would trek from Lakhuri Bhanjyang to Lubhu village (4203ft to 5280ft.). Lubhu is a beautiful Village, situated about 5km towards S45ºE from Lalitpur Sub-metropolitan City. Geographically it is situated at 85º22’30” eastern latitude. Altitude varies from 4203ft. (near Godavari Khola) to 5280ft. (at Dhunga Khani) above sea level. This village is small but has a diversities in land use pattern, natural resources, culture, etc. The village has gained its popularity in the field of textile industries, hospitable people, lovely environment, panoramic landscape, rock garden, paragliding, trekking, biking, sightseeing, recreation centers, meditation centers, etc.

Day 06: Lubu Village to Kathmandu
Having breakfast at Lubu village, we drive to Kathmandu. It is our day to explore this lively and exotic city. Our guide will take us to visit the World Heritage Sites of the valley and some other historically and culturally important places of the valley. In the evening, a farewell dinner would be served at typical Nepali restaurant.

RNH 11 LUXURY TREK AROUND EVEREST REGION (09 Nights / 10 Days)

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu airport, please come right to the main arrival gate where our representative will be waiting with the company board or your name card.
Transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Your full-day sightseeing includes visits to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, home of medieval art & architecture; Continue your tour to Kathmandu Durbar Square (Hanuman Dhoka), the old palace of the Royal Dynasty. Final stop is at the Swayambhunath Stupa, the holiest shrine for the Buddhist and Hindus. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800m) -30 minutes, trek to Phakding (2,640m) -3 to 4 hours
Take the morning flight to the dramatic airfield at Lukla (2,860m) with your trek guide.
The views from the plane are amazing, providing dramatic views of terraced hills and the distant Himalayan giants. After landing in the village of Lukla (2840m) you will meet the rest of your staff/porters. The trail drops steeply for bit then descends to Chheplung (2660m) and Thado Khosi gaon there is suspension bridge that you have to cross after that you see the head of the valley Mt. Kusum Kanguru (6367m). After bridge climbs bit to reach at Ghat (2590m) on banks of the Dudh Koshi River just short visit at monastery then little easy walk then after climb again to reach at Phakding (2610m) The lodges on the first half of the trek are good and menus include all sorts of wholesome favorites: pasta, noodle and rice dishes with remarkably fresh vegetables, puddings and every variety of hot drinks. The lodges have the same pattern all the way up, but understandably they become a bit more simple right at the top of the trek - though still remarkably good for the location. Overnight at local lodge.

Day 04: Phakding trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 6hrs walk
Today, the trail we cross the Dudh Koshi river and climb gently the valley to Toktak (2760m) and Benkar (2710m) The trail keeps close to the river valley and is lined with beautiful blue pine and rhododendron forest that is very spectacular in the spring months, when the flowers are in bloom and also you will see the beautiful waterfall. We will see the snow-capped peak of Thamserku (6623m) & Khumbi La (5765m) at Benkar. We cross the Dudh Kosi River at Benkar. From here it is only a short walk to Monjo (2840m). Just beyond the Monjo trek enters the Sagarnatha (Everest) national park where you need to check your permits. After checking the permits the trail steep rocky descend to large farm aftermath cross bridge at Dudh Kosi and follow the west banks. Just short distance up the river is Jorsale (2830m). The trail follows the river for a while, then re-crosses the Dudh Koshi along the river bank and after short ups and downs, makes a steep climb near the confluence of the two rivers (Bhote Koshi & Dush Koshi) then little climb and re-crosses bridge at Dudh Koshi after that the trail follows steeply ascent towards the Namche Bazaar(3440m). One hour before arrive Namche Bazaar from where we may see the Mt. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m) and Nuptse (7879m) first time in your life. Namache bazaar is gate way to khambu. Namche is the main trading village in the Khumbu region and holds a busy Saturday market. There is set a meeting place for the Hindu traders from the lowlands and the Tibetan yak caravans that have reached there by crossing the glaciated Nangpa La pass. Overnight at local lodge.

Day 05: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Acclimatization is most important before heading higher. Today you may excursion either Thame village or viewpoint. If you prefer to Thame it takes approximately 7/8 hours walking both way go and return to Namche. it is popular for visiting Thame monastery or simply just go to Viewpoint in the stand point of splendid view of the Himalayas including Mt. Everest (8848), Lhotse (8516m), Lhotse shar (8382m), Nuptse (7879m), peak- 38(7591m), Ama dablam (6856m), Thamserku (6623m), Kangtega (6783m), Kusum kangaru (6367), Cholaste (6335m), Tabuche peak (6495m), Khumbi La (5765m) and Kwangde Ri (6011m) etc. Overnight at local lodge.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar trek to Tengboche (3867m) 5 hours
Today the trail at first slightly climb up for a while up to the Chor camp at Namche Bazzar then continue easy level walk to kyangjuma 3550m. Along the way from chor camp at Namche bazaar to kyangjuma you may enjoy incredible view of Mt. Everest (8848), Lhotse (8516m), Lhotse shar (8382m), Nuptse (7879m), peak- 38(7591m), Ama dablam (6856m), Thamserku (6623m), Kangtega (6783m), Kusum kangaru (6367), Cholaste (6335m), Tabuche peak (6495m), Khumbi La (5765m) and Kwangde Ri (6011m). From kyangjuma the trail follows for a while easy level walk through Rhododendron forest to sanasa .There is two way from where one way left hand side leads to the Gokyo valley trek and another way right hand side leads to the direct Everest base camp trek. From sanasa the trail descends gradually through pine forest to lausasa where there are a few teahouses aftermath the trail drops steeply through the pine and Rhododendron forest to Phungi thanga, a small settlement on the river banks of the Dudh kosi at 3250m. The trail climbs steeply at beginning then a gradual ascent through blue pine and Rhododendron forest at the hill top of Tengboche Monastery at 3867m. The view of sunset and sunrise as well as magnificent view of the Mt. Everest including other Himalayas form Tengboche probably most amazing during your treks. Tengboche monastery is one of the beautiful monasteries in solu khumbu area as well as the religious center of the whole ‘Sherpa land ‘entire solu khumbu area. Overnight at local lodge.

Day 07: Tengboche trek to Monjo (2835m) 07 hrs walk
Today we trek back along the Dudh Kosi River through a magnificent rhododendron forest and past brilliant waterfalls. Shortly before reaching Namche, the trek takes us through a pine forest, where musk deer often graze in the early morning. Arriving in town, we may see lowland porters, highland Sherpas, and Tibetan people and again you reach in Namche bazaar. After Namche the trail descend to Larja dobhan (confluence of two rivers) though the pine forests before you reach at Larja Dobhan you may get last opportunity to see Mt. Everest and Lhotse. After cross the bridge at Larja Dobhan the trail descends for while and then walk along the Dudh Koshi River. Re-cross the Dudh Koshi continue level walk to Jorsale. Beyond the Jorsale the trail leads a bit ascend after that re-crosses the suspension bridge then short steep climb to Monjo (2835m). Overnight at local lodge.

Day 08: Monjo trek to Lukla (2840m)
From Monjo the trail leads descends for a while and cross Dudh kosi over the suspension bridge then short easy level walk to Benkar. After Benker the trail follows a bit up and down and level walk along the Dush kosi valley then after re-crossing the suspension bridge you reach at Phakding (2610m). Beyond Phakding the trail follows a short descends continue level walk for a while then short steep climb up passes several Buddhist setups at Ghat village. Aftermath short steep climb up to Thado kosi and a bit descends re-cross the small bridge then climb up a short distance after that finally you re-crosses last long suspension bridge of your trek. The trail after the long suspension bridge follows the up wards route as far as Chablung, then turns off towards Lukla. The broad trail at Chablung leading uphill to the left hand side climbs steadily past a few (bhattis) local inn and houses. From there the trail follows through scrub forest above the school and houses of Chaurikharka village then final climb up of your trek about half and hour reach lukla Tamang tole where a new settlement with houses and Bhattis then short distance walk to approach to Hotel close by Lukla airport. Overnight at local lodge.

Day 09: Lukla flight to Kathmandu (1350m)
In the morning, flight from Lukla to Kathmandu which is very interesting scenery flight journey on the earth. After arrival in Kathmandu airport we drive you to hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 10: Transfer to the airport to board the flight to the onward destination.
